One of those days

It’s one of those gray and rainy days.  Cloudy, overcast, cold and makes me want chili for dinner.  Oh hey I have some canned chili in the pantry.  Hmmm chili. Yes that sounds better than spaghetti and meatballs. 

Anyway, it’s one of those days where I am easily distracted and completely unmotivated.  Supergirl has come up multiple times and asked if we were going to do school.  I set up her up on the family room computer to do some math drills (CapJaxFax… yup a review product.  Look for it in a couple of weeks!) and now she’s watching some NEST family videos.  In a bit will watch some science videos (GoScience!… yes another review product!).

I just can’t seem to force myself to do reading and penmanship and writing with her today.  I just want to curl up in my chair with a cup of tea and read Jane Austin.  I still haven’t finished Persuasion.

Tailorbear isn’t having the best of days either.  She’s got a pass from the principle though to do only a half day of school.  BooBear’s been rather productive and Turtlegirl at least has the appearance of getting her assignments done.  (I’ve just been informed that she has completed her school and can the  girls please play wii.  Ok fine. but only until I’m done writing this blog post because Supergirl and I are going to watch that DVD!

I know that today has been one of those days but I am so grateful that tomorrow is a new day.  I long to say something spiritual and profound but all I can think of is “thank you God that your mercies are new and fresh.  And thank you that I at least got a load of laundry washed and a blog post written.”
